We Love Serving Our Local Community
Freedom Development and Progress (FDP) is a women’s rights organization in Kisii that emerged from a collective vision to prevent human rights violations and promote the well-being of women in our community. Recognizing the interconnected nature of human rights and gender integration, health, social economic empowerment, agrifood systems, climate change, and WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), we focus on awareness creation to address these critical areas.

Our mission is to create a community where every woman has the freedom to live without fear and the opportunity to thrive. From our inception, we have been dedicated to raising awareness and driving change.
By addressing the root causes of human rights violations and emphasizing the importance of health, economic empowerment, sustainable agrifood systems, climate resilience, and adequate WASH facilities, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all women in our community.

Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)
Currently managing 15 sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) cases at Kisii law courts through our dedicated paralegal services.
Freedom from Dirt and Pest Cleaning Services
Our organization operates a cleaning services company (Freedom from Dirt and Pest Cleaning Services) that provides economic empowerment to women survivors of GBV.
